Premiere Pro Timeline and Panels Freeze FIX (EASY VIDEO STEPS) 2019

HOW TO Fix timeline and panels Freeze in Adobe Premiere Pro CC

Actually for the last two weeks this problem was driving me crazy,  I spent hours trying to solve this issue with no luck on finding an answer anywhere, when ever I touch the pointer on the timeline premiere freezes, and when I play the clip the sound plays and the screen freezes.

I tried many things but it all didn't help at all! I even upgraded the RAMs but surprisingly this didn't fix the problem also! I was so frustrated until i found out how to fix this problem and keep premiere from freezing all the time, it also made my iMac freezes and it was very frustrating!

Step 1:

Please make sure that your software is updated. 

Step 2:

Reset your panels in premiere pro.

Step 3: 

Probably you did the previous steps without even searching, so let's get into the point.

First of all go to File > Project > Project Settings > General  and make sure to choose Mercury playback only.

Then go to Sequence > Sequence settings > Video Preview panel, choose Quicktime > and then any Apple proress preset. 

* Make sure to uncheck the "Composite in linear color...." because it requires using GPU acceleration.

What if the Video previews panel is grey and inclinable? (FIX)

To fix this problem you go choose custom settings in the editing mode as shown

Sequence > Sequence settings > Editing Mode > Custom
